K-12 Schools

MCPS – Lowell Elementary School

Located on the North side of Missoula, Lowell School opened its doors in 1909, making it the oldest active school in the district. When the school initially opened it did not have an auditorium, kitchen, or gymnasium. The most recent renovations took place in 2016-2017, resulting in classes relocating to Mount Jumbo during that school year. These renovations included Electro Controls upgrading control devices for the HVAC and building management systems in the addition and remodel.

The hot water and chilled water systems serve both the historic building and the addition. The historic building’s airside system is comprised of unit ventilators and fan coils. The addition has a DOAS that serves the VAVs with chilled beams.

Great Falls High School

Located in Great Falls, MT, Great Falls High School was the city’s first high school, established in 1890. The original building was constructed in 1896 and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The current building, which houses Electro’s controls, was constructed in 1930 and has since been annexed to include a two-story industrial arts building and a Hub building which consists of CTE and STEM classrooms.

Electro Controls installed nearly 200 Delta controllers on a 90,000 CFM fan wall air handler, VAVs, separate air handlers in the auditorium and the gymnasium, hot water system, and chill water system. Electro then integrated the Daikin unit vents and Big Ass Fans. All these systems were integrated to the Tridium front end so facilities could have a graphical user interface.
